This is exactly where the difference between a standard system and a truly high-performance one is created.<\/p>\n

In this article, we take you inside our production process to clearly explain why our systems deliver superior performance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\n

1. The core of the system: the fiber optic connector<\/h3>\n

One of the most important \u2014 and often underestimated \u2014 elements is the connector that links the fiber optics to the light source.<\/p>\n

In traditional systems, this connection is typically made using simple cable glands.
A seemingly functional solution, but one that comes with several limitations:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • fibers are not perfectly aligned<\/li>\n
  • they are not parallel to each other<\/li>\n
  • they are not perpendicular to the light source<\/li>\n
  • no optical polishing is applied<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    All of this leads to a direct consequence:
    a loss of brightness that can reach up to 20\u201330%<\/strong> .<\/p>\n

    \n

    2. Our solution: front aluminum ferrule<\/h3>\n

    To overcome these limitations, we have developed a completely different system.<\/p>\n

    The fiber optics are inserted into a front aluminum ferrule<\/strong> and secured through a precise mechanical process using dedicated machinery.<\/p>\n

    This allows us to achieve:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • perfectly compacted fibers<\/li>\n
    • parallel alignment across all fibers<\/li>\n
    • perpendicular orientation to the light source<\/li>\n
    • stable fixation, even under torsion or mechanical stress<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      The result is a far more efficient and consistent light transmission over time.<\/p>\n

      3. Optical polishing: a crucial step<\/h3>\n

      Once secured, the fibers undergo a two-step optical polishing process<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

        \n
      • first pass with 400-micron abrasive<\/li>\n
      • finishing with 800-micron abrasive<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        This process creates a perfectly flat and uniform surface.<\/p>\n

        Why does it matter?<\/p>\n

        Because a smooth surface:<\/p>\n

          \n
        • improves light entry<\/li>\n
        • reduces unwanted reflections<\/li>\n
        • enhances overall light performance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          On the contrary, an irregular surface causes light dispersion and loss.<\/p>\n

          4. Fiber optics: material quality makes the difference<\/h3>\n

          Not all fiber optics are the same, even if they may look identical at first glance.<\/p>\n

          Our \u201cFB\u201d synthetic fibers are made with:<\/p>\n

          • PMMA core (polymethyl methacrylate)<\/li>\n
          • fluorinated polymer cladding<\/li>\n
          • numerical aperture of 0.5<\/li>\n
          • attenuation lower than 200 dB at 650 nm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              Beware of low-quality fibers<\/strong><\/p>\n

              Many fibers on the market, although declared as PMMA, actually contain polycarbonate.<\/p>\n

              This results in:<\/p>\n

              • higher fragility (they break more easily)<\/li>\n
              • attenuation above 300 dB<\/li>\n
              • altered light color output<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                As a consequence, lighting quality is compromised from the very beginning.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
