The transmission of light in the visible spectrum is decidedly homogeneous, as is the low chromatic variation, allowing for effective use in technical, scenographic, artistic and scientific lighting.
FEATURES AND USES
The glass optical fibers are supplied with a self-extinguishing megolon protective sheath. The glass optical fibers used are of the best quality and have unlimited durability, with exceptional intrinsic attenuation characteristics of less than 150 dB/km and excellent transmission linearity along the entire visible spectrum. Fiber optic cables (also called tails) commonly used for lighting have diameters (SIZE) ranging from 1.0 mm to 6 mm. We recommend that when using glass optical fibers not to exceed a length of 10-12 meters of the individual tails. Glass optical fibers are particularly suitable for lighting in museums and exhibitions, in all contexts that are designed with a long-term perspective (over 30 years), due to the importance of the objects on display, or to particular technical-technical conditions. logistics in which they are installed.
